Under the direction of Kersten Elverum, the Planning and Economic Development Department is responsible for the City's long-range planning efforts, as well as the administration of the City's Zoning Code.
The department also creates the City's Comprehensive Plan, which is a compilation of policy statement, goals, standards, and maps for guiding the physical, social and economic development of the City.
